Cupping is a method of treating disease by releasing local congestion. By moving cups with suction and therapeutic oils to warm and relax tight muscles, the circulation of blood increases, and the stress and pain are relieved. Pulling the fluids to the surface removes underlining stasis which increases blood flow and nourishment to the injured area.

Moxibustion is a form of heat therapy that consists of burning the dried leaf close to specific points on the body. This herb is known as Mugwort, Moxa, or Aì yè in Chinese medicine. It helps to warm areas of the body with the intention of stimulating circulation and lymphatic flow. It also helps to restore the yang, smooth the flow of Qi and blood, and expel pathogenic influences. The scent of moxa is very distinct and many people find it to have a therapeutic and relaxing aroma.

Electro-acupuncture is an addition to acupuncture therapy whereby an electrical current is run from an electro machine through connecting cables and attached to the heads of acupuncture needles to assist in stimulating the muscle/fascia via differing electrotherapeutic methods.

Auriculotherapy (Ear Acupressure) is the application of needles or ear seeds (gold or silver) onto specific points of the ear. The ear is a microsystem of the entire body with acupuncture points that correspond to an organ or body part. This complimentary treatment is effective to continue the benefits of acupuncture at home between treatments.

Most lasers used in acupuncture are known as low-level lasers or "cold lasers," (because they don't produce heat.). These are not the same as lasers used for laser surgery, in which "hot lasers" are used as a scalpel to burn or cut. Studies show that low-level lasers can help regenerate cells, decrease pain, reduce inflammation, improve circulation, and stimulate hair growth, to name a few examples. Perhaps the greatest advantage of laser acupuncture is that it's completely painless.
