What Is Integrative Primary Care?
Conventional primary care is designed to diagnose conditions and manage symptoms, and while that model is essential in many situations, it often leaves an important question unanswered: Why is this happening?
A patient walks in with high blood pressure, chronic fatigue, or stubborn weight gain. They leave with a prescription. The medication manages the symptom, but the root cause remains untouched. Over time, that unaddressed root cause can evolve, worsen, or create new challenges, sometimes including side effects from the very medications prescribed to help.
Integrative Primary Care asks a different question. Not just "What do you have?", but "Why do you have it?"
Your Annual Integrative Wellness Screening
At Díaz Acupuncture & Integrative Health, we offer an Annual Integrative Wellness Screening: a comprehensive, whole-person health assessment designed to go beyond the standard check-up and give you a complete picture of where your health stands today and where it is heading.
This is not a rushed 15-minute visit. This is a dedicated, integrative screening that brings together conventional medicine, functional medicine, and Traditional Chinese Medicine to evaluate your health from every angle.
What Your Integrative Annual Wellness Includes:
Physical Assessment
Functional Lab Assessment
Lifestyle Medicine & Wellness Screening
Preliminary Recommendations based on screening findings
How It Works:
Step 1 — Annual Integrative Wellness Screening (in person) Your comprehensive screening visit. We gather your complete health picture: physical exam, lab orders, lifestyle review, and a full conversation about your health goals and concerns.
Step 2 — Results & Recommendations / Follow Up (in person or telehealth) Once your lab results are ready, we meet again to review every finding in plain language. We identify patterns and use functional optimal ranges to interpret your lab results, we explain what your results mean, and outline your personalized recommendations and next steps.
This two-visit cycle is offered twice a year: your health is consistently monitored, and your plan is updated as your body changes and responds.
